Rob James has been in the still & moving picture business for over 25 years & has worked professionally in the Hollywood movie industry.

He is an Award-Winning still photographer & digital filmaker who in his career has functioned as a media business owner, producer/director/writer, digital media instructor, studio designer, graphic designer, & editor.

He has a Master's degree in Film & Television and a Bachelor's Degree in Media Production Management.

From Rob James- My Creative Approach

My goal as a still or motion photographer is always the same- to capture the most effective images relevant to the situation. In motion photography, I am primarily concerned with how the images integrate into the overall story, the scene, and of course, the effectiveness of the camera as a tool to convey the interplay of the actors. In still photography the approach to the same goal is different and in some ways more challenging- I am trying to capture the essence of what needs to be said in that one frame, as opposed to a series of frames. I want that one frame to tell an entire story. When shooting stills, I love using natural light, especially pre-sunset at the beach.
